Few people remember anymore who Jesus Christ really was. Few people out of church even mention his name – unless they get cut off in traffic, or bang their thumb with a hammer.
But, if anyone had a gentle message of peace, love, and brotherhood, it was him. There have been many prophets and religious leaders out there over the years. Some of them have been genuine and many were phony. If you take even a cursory glance, however, at this man’s life and what he stood for – there is no doubt that he was indeed the very real deal. So, tell me then. Why do liberals hate him? Why is it that this itinerant preacher who lived in an obscure village, who never owned a home, nor was ever in any position of political power whatsoever, can cause such hatred in people almost two thousand years after his death?
It’s because he was indeed the way, the truth, and the light. And people who think that all truth is relative don’t like to look into the light. It shows them up for the true-blue phonies they really are – and they don’t like that.
Allow me to admit in our day of political correctness that Jesus Christ is my Lord and savior. He always has been – and always will be.
