Snowflakes

We have in our nation right now a cancer.  It’s a disease so insidious that you can hardly even see it.  But it’s there right in front of us and just as deadly as any real physical illness can be.  It’s the inability of our college age children nowadays to tolerate any sort opinion other than their own.  There’s even a name for these hyper-sheltered tenderfoot milksops.

They’re called “Snowflakes.”

In universities nationwide, students not only want protection from unsettling ideas – they actively demand it.  They demand that universities create “safe spaces,” where their tender ears and delicate sensibilities won’t be assaulted by disruptive and controversial ideas.  This sort of intolerance to free speech and open-minded critical thinking is ruining our future generations in ways that we can only now just imagine.  It’s happening because these “snowflakes,” were so sheltered at home that they actually have panic attacks when confronted by free speech “triggers.”  This has profound implications for us as a nation.  Are these the ones who must someday grow up and rule the world?  Are these simpering, hysterical, namby-pamby nimrods going to someday be in charge of this nation and be responsible for our safety in an increasingly hostile world?

Yeesh!  I feel sick.  I feel a panic attack of my own coming on.
